The First Nine Weeks is Almost Over!

Can you believe it!  We are only 5 school days away from the ending of the first nine weeks of school!  That means that report cards will be going out within the next ten days!  Are you READY??

Some have asked that I begin posting the Assignment List (from the white board in class) on my blog so that they can access this when needed.  So, when you click on the link to your class, it will bring up a page that will give you those assignments - but only for the last half of this grading period.

Please post a comment if you find this helpful, or if there are other things you would like to have on your class page!

A New School Year!

So, here we are, already 8 weeks into our school year!  Hopefully, as my students, you have learned a little bit about World History, US History, Civics and Language Arts!  And, hopefully you've learning something about being in Mrs. Coleman's room and Mount Hope High School.

This summer I was part of the Presidential Academy for American History and Civics.  I spent 3 weeks visiting many of our nation's most historical sites:  Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the Battlefield at Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, and Washington, DC.  It was quite an experience!!  Hopefully, I've brought back lots of knowledge and a whole host of experiences to share with my students in my classroom!

Now, I CAN'T be a teacher without gving some kind of assignment, so.....I want YOU, my students, to make a blog comment here about YOUR summer AND, I want you to include one thing you have learned so far this school year!
